Personal
Information
Bahuang
(alias Cai Rong), member of the China Artists' Association, graduated
from The Central Academy of Theatre majoring stage design, had taught
in The Central Academy of Theatre, now an art editor in Chinese Film
Archive, executive editor and journalist in Fine Art in
China.
Works
on oil painting and graphic design, while surfing on literature and
photography. Works are mainly portraits. Works "Flow",
"Portrait
of a Tibetan", "A
Portrait in Yi Nationality Dress",
"Portrait
of a Yi Lady" and
"Moth" are collected respectively by China National Art
Museum, Italian, British, Netherlands cultural research institutions
and scholars.
Solicitous
about the tribal life in rural areas, their nature, geography a nd
religion, since 1985, self-financed, traveled and investigated in Mt. Da Liang
in Sichuan province and Lake Lu Gu in the intersection of Sichuan and
Yunnan regions;
1987-1988, to Tibet for the research of its art, while being a
volunteered art lecturer in Xigaze Formal School, Tibet
1996, visited Britain and held a solo exhibition
1998, visited Taiwan for cultural exchange
wrote and published six books during 1993-2001
